Delhi government launches Seva Sankalp Abhiyan awareness campaign
The Delhi government has launched the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, a multi-faceted public awareness and outreach initiative designed to educate citizens on various welfare schemes and public services.
As part of the campaign, the ‘Namo Seva Ki Ankahi Kahaniyan’ initiative will feature 1,250 street plays across the city. Managed by the Sahitya Kala Parishad, these performances aim to highlight the life and governance milestones of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while promoting objectives such as ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ and ‘Vocal for Local’. Approximately 30 to 35 troupes will perform simultaneously in residential colonies, markets, and shopping malls.
Additionally, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a specialized Metro awareness drive. This component of the campaign utilizes 36 coaches across five Delhi Metro lines—Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, and Violet—to carry information regarding government schemes directly to commuters. The broader campaign, which began on September 17, also includes medical camps, blood donation drives, and environmental activities, supported by announced development programs totaling approximately Rs 13,820 crore.
