Delhi government probes Beacon Public School over recognition concerns

The Delhi government has launched an inquiry into Beacon Public School to determine if the institution is operating without the mandatory recognition and in violation of educational norms. A departmental team has inspected the school premises and is currently scrutinizing official records and day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with prescribed standards.

Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood stated that if the investigation establishes any irregularities or non-compliance, the government will take strict action. This may include the closure of the school under the provisions of the Right to Education (RTE) Act and other applicable laws. Sood emphasized that the safety, security, and well-being of children remain a top priority for the administration and that no institution will be permitted to function in breach of legal requirements.
