Delhi Half Marathon 2026 announces 25 pace setters
The Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2026 will feature a squad of 25 pace setters designed to guide runners toward specific finish times. These pacers lead designated groups, referred to as ‘buses’, to maintain steady speeds throughout the races.
The pacing team includes a diverse group of individuals, such as Mount Everest summiteer and Bengaluru-based ophthalmologist Dr. Chinmayee J Thrishulamurthy, who will debut as a pacer in the 10K race. The 10K event will utilize an all-women squad of eight pacers to guide runners targeting finish times between 55 and 88 minutes.
For the half marathon, 17 pacers—including corporate executives, senior government officials, and experienced runners—will lead groups with target times ranging from 1:50 to 2:40. Notable participants include Thandeswaran Periyasamy, who holds records for consecutive running days, and Rashmi Mohanty, an ultra-marathoner and CFO.
Eleven of the 25 pacers are traveling from outside the Delhi-NCR region, representing cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Darjeeling, Jammu, and Jharkhand.
