Delhi heat wave continues with temperatures near 41 °C

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) warned that Delhi will experience mainly clear skies on Sunday, with maximum temperatures reaching 39‑41 °C and a heat‑index that could climb to about 48 °C due to high humidity. Minimum temperatures are expected between 28‑30 °C.

The extreme heat raises the risk of heat‑related illnesses, and the IMD indicated that light showers or thunderstorms may develop in the afternoon or evening. Surface winds could gust up to 40 km/h. A yellow weather alert has been issued for Tuesday and Wednesday, signalling the possibility of continued hot conditions and localized rain.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary outdoor activity during peak heat hours, and watch for official updates on any further weather changes.
