Delhi High Court orders GAC to decide on Saibaba Trust plea

The Delhi High Court has directed the Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC) to issue a decision within seven days regarding a statutory appeal filed by the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi.

The Trust filed the petition following Google LLC and YouTube’s refusal to remove specific online content. The Trust alleges that the videos contain false, defamatory, and inflammatory content that targets Sai Baba and the Trust, potentially hurting the religious sentiments of devotees and violating rights under Article 25 of the Constitution.

Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma ordered the GAC to provide a reasoned order and ensure the Trust is informed of the outcome. A compliance report is expected to be filed before the court by the next hearing on August 19, 2026.
