Delhi High Court orders Meta to remove AI-morphed images of woman and PM Modi

The Delhi High Court has ordered Meta to remove all objectionable AI-morphed images and related web links involving a woman and Prime Minister Narendra Modi within 24 hours. The court's directive follows a petition by a woman whose images were allegedly manipulated using AI technology and circulated on social media platforms.

In addition to the content removal order, the court directed the Delhi Police to provide necessary security to the victim, who reported receiving death threats. The court also issued notices to several individuals associated with CJP, including Abhijit Dipke, Sourav Das, Ashutosh Ranka, and Ratna Singh, regarding the alleged dissemination of the morphed content.

The Delhi Police have already registered an FIR under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act. The court has requested a status report from the police within two weeks, with the next hearing scheduled for October 14.
