Delhi High Court Rejects Urgent Hearing Against Cockroach Janta Party Protest

The Delhi High Court declined to grant an urgent hearing on a petition filed by the Save India Foundation seeking preventive measures, crowd‑control and relocation of a protest scheduled for June 6 at Jantar Mantar. The petition aimed to restrict the Cockroach Janta Party’s demonstration, which calls for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination‑related lapses.

The petition also alleged that the movement uses overseas‑tethered servers to instigate a transnational destabilisation agenda and asked the court to limit activities of organizers based in the USA and Australia. A vacation bench comprising Justices Saurabh Banerjee and Amit Sharma refused to list the case, meaning the protest is expected to proceed as planned.
