Delhi launches four tourism circuits linking 21 heritage sites

The Delhi government has launched four curated tourism circuits designed to connect 21 spiritual and heritage sites across the capital. The initiative aims to transform the city from a transit hub into a primary travel destination.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta introduced the circuits—‘The Soul of Delhi’, ‘The Heritage of Delhi’, ‘Delhi’s Sacred Harmony’, and ‘Echoes of Delhi’—at the Spiritual and Heritage Tourism Conclave-2026 held at Akshardham Temple. The routes map specific sequences of temples, gurdwaras, churches, archaeological sites, and other landmarks.

‘The Soul of Delhi’ includes locations such as Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Agrasen Ki Baoli, Lotus Temple, and Akshardham Temple. ‘The Heritage of Delhi’ features Birla Temple, Jhandewalan Mata Mandir, Jantar Mantar, Yogmaya Mandir, and Jagannath Temple. ‘Delhi’s Sacred Harmony’ connects Praacheen Hanuman Mandir, Digambar Jain Lal Mandir, Ambedkar Memorial, Purana Qila, and Hazrat Nizamuddin. The longest route, ‘Echoes of Delhi’, includes Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib, the Buddhist Temple, Church of Redemption, Mehrauli Archaeological Park, and Chhatarpur Mandir.
