Delhi LG Taranjit Singh Sandhu pushes global cultural events and night economy

Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu chaired a meeting with the Delhi Development Authority and the tourism department to explore ways of showcasing Delhi’s heritage, art and design. He urged the use of existing public spaces for art installations, performances and heritage‑linked programmes and called for public‑private partnerships to create recurring, internationally recognised cultural events.

Sandhu highlighted that a vibrant night economy and inclusive platforms for citizens, artists and youth could generate employment, strengthen civic pride and boost the city’s creative economy. He also promoted heritage walks and other public‑engagement initiatives to attract domestic and foreign visitors.
