Delhi LG Taranjit Singh Sandhu urges students to lead India's technological future

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta addressed students at the closing ceremony of the ‘Prabodhan’ Induction Program-2026 at Indira Gandhi Delhi Women Technical University (IGDTUW).

Sandhu emphasized the importance of technical education in empowering women and increasing their participation in national leadership. He urged students to become creators and innovators of technology rather than mere users, noting their potential to shape sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, and governance.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta encouraged students to move beyond existing technologies to become creators of Artificial Intelligence and other new solutions. She called on them to develop curiosity and character, aiming to be job creators rather than just job seekers. The event also included the inauguration of a new state-of-the-art lecture complex at the university.
