Delhi MCD to install 70 dialysis machines in seven hospitals
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is preparing to launch dialysis centers across seven of its hospitals. Under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, a total of 70 dialysis machines will be installed to provide relief to kidney patients.
Once fully operational, these centers are expected to provide approximately 42,000 dialysis sessions annually, supporting around 350 regular patients at any given time. The facilities will be located at sites including Swami Dayanand Hospital, Hindu Rao, and Veer Savarkar Arogya Sansthan.
To ensure affordability, officials stated that patients will not be charged more than the government rates set by the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Beneficiaries of the scheme will receive cashless treatment, while private partners will cover the costs of the machines and operations.
