Delhi Metro Rail Corporation receives innovation award

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been honored with the ‘Award of Excellence’ in the ‘Excellence in Innovation and Smart Mobility Solutions’ category. The award was presented at the 19th Urban Mobility India Conference and Expo held in Bhubaneswar.

DMRC Managing Director Vikas Kumar accepted the award from Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal. The recognition highlights the corporation’s recent technological initiatives, including the implementation of digital ticketing, artificial intelligence for predictive maintenance, and enhanced customer response systems.

In addition to the award, DMRC announced operational adjustments in Delhi to address environmental concerns. Following the implementation of GRAP-I, the corporation is increasing weekday train trips and intensifying anti-pollution measures at construction sites to mitigate dust and improve air quality in the national capital.
