Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa Calls on AAP MLAs to End Political Theatrics
On the opening day of the Delhi Assembly's monsoon session, Environment and Industry Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa urged members of the Aam Aadmi Party to move away from political theatrics, baseless accusations and disruptive behaviour, and instead focus on issues of public interest.
Sirsa praised the Delhi Lakshmi scheme, which provides a one‑time cash assistance of ₹2,500 to eligible women, noting its strong public support and the lack of positive political issues for the opposition. He highlighted recent infrastructure improvements such as the Minto Bridge and cited education capacity constraints, with about 325,000 students passing Class 12 each year but only 150,000 regular undergraduate seats available.
The minister criticised AAP's alleged “cycle scam” and “health scam,” saying no reliable evidence has been presented, and referenced commendations from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for the government's initiatives.
