Delhi MLA Jarnail Singh faces FIR over PWD dispute

Police in Delhi have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Jarnail Singh following complaints from Public Works Department (PWD) engineers. The charges include obstructing government work and intimidation.

The legal action stems from a dispute during a road inspection in the Tilak Nagar area of West Delhi. The incident has escalated into a political confrontation between the AAP and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Prior to the FIR against Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Pravesh Verma faced allegations of slapping an individual named Sahib Singh during the same inspection. Singh claimed he was filming a live video for the MLA when the altercation occurred, while Verma alleged the individual used offensive language toward his family. The AAP has demanded action against Verma, while the current legal development focuses on the allegations against MLA Jarnail Singh.
