Delhi NCR to Get Monsoon Relief as Rain Expected Next Week
India's Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that the south‑west monsoon will become active over Delhi‑NCR and adjoining Haryana within the next week. The system is expected to bring showers, thunder and gusty winds, providing much‑needed respite from the ongoing heat wave.
Temperatures are forecast to fall from highs of around 40 °C on June 28 to the mid‑30 °C range by early July, with nighttime lows dropping to the low‑20 °C range. IMD advises residents to keep updated on weather alerts, avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rain and thunderstorms, and stay in safe locations when conditions worsen.
