Delhi officials inspect waterlogging ahead of monsoon rains

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta led a DTC ride to inspect monsoon preparedness, traveling from Jan Seva Sadan along the Outer Ring Road and Madhuban Chowk to the DDA Sports Complex in Rohini. She examined water‑logging‑prone streets, road cleanliness and debris, and ordered officials to strengthen drainage, widen roads, repair damage and fill potholes.

NDMC Vice‑Chairperson Kuljeet Singh Chahal also toured vulnerable spots in the NDMC area, beginning at Africa Avenue, during heavy rainfall under an India Meteorological Department Red Alert. He reported that no major waterlogging occurred, that field machinery and emergency teams were activated, and that all complaints were addressed promptly.
