Delhi pedestrian electrocuted after road divider collapses

A 28-year-old man was electrocuted in Delhi's Surajmal Vihar after a section of a road divider caved in. The victim, identified as a caregiver, fell into a pit approximately three feet deep near an electricity pole and became trapped up to his waist.

During the incident, the man came into contact with a live wire, resulting in a fatal electric shock. He was declared dead upon arrival at a hospital. Local residents and family members have raised concerns regarding the maintenance of electrical and road infrastructure, alleging that the incident was a result of negligence by civic agencies.

Delhi Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the collapse and are examining CCTV footage to determine responsibility. Following the accident, workers reportedly filled the collapsed section with debris and cement.
