Delhi Police apprehend Himanshu Bhau gang shooters after gunfight

Two alleged shooters associated with the Himanshu Bhau gang were apprehended by the Delhi Police Crime Branch following an exchange of gunfire in the Bakkarwala area. The suspects, identified as 19-year-old Sameer and a juvenile, were reportedly planning to assassinate Dr. Narendra Sharma, the owner of RRM Hospital, following previous threats made by the gang leader.

According to police, the operation began after receiving intelligence regarding the suspects' movements. The suspects, traveling in a Mahindra Thar, attempted to evade authorities by accelerating through a flyover area, resulting in a collision with another vehicle. Upon being challenged by the police, the suspects allegedly opened fire, discharging approximately eight rounds.

In the ensuing gunfight, police returned fire, resulting in injuries to both suspects. Officers recovered two Glock pistols from the scene. The injured individuals were transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
