Delhi Police approves Diljit Dosanjh concert at JLN Stadium

The Diljit Dosanjh AURA India Tour concert scheduled for October 30 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi will proceed as planned. Delhi Police granted permission for the event following meetings with organizers, BookMyShow Live, to address security, traffic, and crowd-management concerns.

Initial permission had been temporarily withheld due to security concerns and law-and-order commitments during the festive season. Reports of a cancellation were inaccurate; organizers clarified that permission was merely being reviewed. The initial hesitation was also linked to a hoax bomb threat sent to several Delhi schools earlier in October, which included emails warning against the concert.

Following the presentation of a detailed safety plan by BookMyShow Live, police reconsidered their decision. The singer responded to the controversy with a humorous video, urging fans to stop debating the event online and instead attend the performance.
