Delhi Police arrest four for gang rape and murder of 16-year-old girl

Delhi Police have apprehended four individuals, including three minors aged 16 and 17, in connection with the gang rape and murder of a 16-year-old girl in the Swaroop Nagar area. The victim's body was discovered on September 13 in a field near Kushak Road in a state of advanced decomposition. Investigators noted that parts of the body had been scavenged by stray dogs.

The suspects, who were known to the victim, allegedly consumed alcohol in a tempo before sexually assaulting and stabbing her to death. The adult suspect has been identified as 19-year-old Shivam Ganesh, also known as Sudama. Police traced the group by analyzing footage from over 50 CCTV cameras, which allowed them to track a suspicious tempo used in the crime to Khadda Colony.

A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Authorities have recovered two knives, clothing allegedly worn by the suspects, and the vehicle used during the incident.
