Delhi Police Arrest Phone Snatcher and Recover Stolen Phones

Delhi Police arrested a 22‑year‑old suspect identified as Upender alias Piyush, a resident of West Vinod Nagar, on July 27 after a mobile‑phone snatching incident in the Madhu Vihar area on July 25. The victim, Ayush Das, reported that two men on a blue scooty snatched his phone near Utsav Ground in IP Extension.

Based on secret intelligence, police set a trap near the same location, apprehended Upender and recovered the stolen phone belonging to the complainant. The blue scooty, which had been reported stolen, was seized, and two additional stolen mobile phones linked to separate theft cases were found on it. With these recoveries, Delhi Police said four criminal cases, including the current snatching, were solved.
