Delhi Police arrest suspects in burglary and vehicle theft operations
Delhi Police have conducted significant law enforcement operations resulting in multiple arrests and the recovery of stolen property across different districts.
In the South-West District, the Anti-Burglary Cell resolved four house theft and burglary cases. Three individuals—identified as Mohd. Arif, Afsar, and Inzamam Sheikh—were arrested. Authorities recovered 42.11 grams of melted gold, two country-made pistols, and various house-breaking tools. The investigation involved analyzing footage from approximately 700 CCTV cameras to track suspects using a stolen motorcycle.
Separately, a four-day crime-prevention drive in the Rohini district led to the recovery of 161 stolen two-wheelers, including 116 motorcycles and 45 scooters. During this operation, police arrested or apprehended 109 people, including 24 history-sheeters and seven proclaimed offenders. The drive also resulted in the seizure of seven illegal firearms, 686 grams of heroin, and the dismantling of a fake call center linked to cyber fraud involving approximately Rs 78 lakh.
