The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested 22-year-old Sushil Kumar, a wanted criminal carrying a reward of 50,000 rupees, in connection with an armed robbery in the Golf Links area. Kumar was apprehended in the Madhubani district of Bihar following an operation by the Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Cell.
The incident occurred on April 16, when a group of seven to eight armed assailants entered the residence of 76-year-old businessman Ashok Chawla. The attackers, armed with swords and other lethal weapons, assaulted and threatened family members before fleeing with approximately 30 to 35 lakh rupees in cash and jewelry.
Investigations revealed that Kumar, who had recently been employed as a domestic worker at the residence, was complicit in the crime.
