Delhi Police arrests four ISI‑linked terrorists planning attacks on police and religious sites
Delhi police’s Special Cell apprehended four men in coordinated raids across Delhi and Punjab, accusing them of plotting attacks on police stations, checkpoints and major religious venues in the National Capital Region. The suspects – Shubhdeep Singh (alias Vishal, 23), Gurjant Singh (alias Rishi, 22), Sajan Singh (alias Honey, 28) and Gaganpreet (24) – are all residents of Punjab and were in direct contact with Pakistan‑based ISI handler Shahzad Bhatty.
Investigators say the group was tasked with surveying sensitive locations, recording video footage and sending it to handlers in Pakistan. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were reportedly smuggled across the Punjab border by drone and distributed to the suspects using vehicles. Police seized illegal arms, ammunition and vehicles during the operation and have filed charges under the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.
The arrests are reported to have foiled a planned large‑scale assault that could have targeted crowded public places in Delhi.
