Delhi Police bust inter-state illegal arms racket

The Special Cell of the Delhi Police has dismantled an inter-state illegal arms smuggling racket, resulting in the arrest of two individuals: 20-year-old Honey Nihal and 19-year-old Jatin Bhati.

During the operation, authorities recovered six sophisticated country-made pistols, 10 live cartridges, and a vehicle. The investigation revealed that the smuggling operation involved transporting weapons from Madhya Pradesh to Delhi.

Acting on intelligence received in August, police intercepted Honey Nihal at Dhaula Kuan on Delhi's Ring Road, where five pistols and 10 cartridges were found. Following his interrogation, police tracked and apprehended Jatin Bhati in Vasundhra, Ghaziabad, after a brief chase, recovering an additional pistol. Investigations indicate that the suspects used bus travel between Madhya Pradesh and Delhi to facilitate the illegal trade.
