Diljit Dosanjh Delhi concert cleared by police after security concerns

The Delhi concert of Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, scheduled for October 30 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, will proceed as planned. Although Delhi Police initially withheld permission citing "specific threat-related inputs" and law-and-order commitments during the festive season, clearance was granted following meetings between authorities and organizers.

Organizers, including ticketing partner BookMyShow Live, presented detailed security, traffic, and crowd-management plans to address the concerns raised by the police. BookMyShow clarified that the event was never cancelled, but rather that permission had been "temporarily withheld."

The concert marks the start of the India leg of Dosanjh’s Aura India Tour. The singer addressed the controversy on social media, confirming his arrival in Delhi and expressing readiness to meet his fans.
