Delhi police face allegations of brutality against NSUI students

Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi has presented members of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) to the media, alleging severe police brutality following protests near Connaught Place in Delhi.

A Delhi University student from Kerala, identified as Atira, reported losing hearing in one ear due to injuries sustained during the alleged assault. She claimed that while in police custody, she was subjected to physical violence, including being struck and dragged, and alleged that the assault continued in a police station basement lacking CCTV surveillance.

Rahul Gandhi has called for accountability, urging the preservation of evidence and promising action against the responsible officers. The protests originally took place near the Rajiv Chowk metro station on Tuesday.
