Delhi Police grants Congress NOC for November 1 rally at Ramlila Maidan

Delhi Police has issued a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) to the Indian National Congress for a large-scale rally scheduled at Ramlila Maidan on November 1. The permit covers the period from October 25 to November 3.

The rally is part of a joint action plan by the INDIA Block to protest against alleged irregularities in the electoral process and the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), with leaders advocating for a return to ballot papers. The protest follows internal discussions within the coalition regarding decisions made by Election Commissioners.

Delhi Police officials stated they are coordinating with organizers and traffic authorities to ensure law and order and smooth traffic management. This follows a recent change in designated protest venues in Delhi, where Jantar Mantar has been removed from the list, leaving Ramlila Maidan, Burari Ground, and CBD Ground as the primary options for public demonstrations.
