Delhi Police Recover 2,400 Stolen Phones Valued Over Rs 2.5 Crore

Delhi Police recovered a total of 2,400 lost or stolen mobile phones worth more than Rs 2.5 crore during the period from January to June 2026. The recovery effort, part of the citizen‑centric initiative “Operation Vishwas,” was led by the anti‑snatching cell of the South‑West district and involved technical surveillance, digital tracking and field verification.

Of the phones recovered, 1,790 were retrieved between April 1 and June 30, and hand‑over programmes at police stations returned nearly 1,900 devices to their rightful owners. The police said the operation demonstrates its commitment to public welfare, transparent policing and efficient service delivery.
