Delhi Police recover stolen goods and assist BRICS delegate
Delhi Police have successfully resolved two separate incidents involving theft and snatching in the national capital region.
In one instance, the Anti-Snatching Cell of the South-West District arrested two men, identified as Sunil and Pramod, after they snatched a mobile phone from a taxi driver near a CNG station. During the arrest, officers recovered the snatched phone, two additional stolen mobile phones, and the motorcycle used in the crime. One of the suspects, Pramod, reportedly has a prior criminal record involving snatching and other offenses.
In a separate event, police recovered a missing bag belonging to a South African BRICS delegate. The bag, which contained approximately Rs 3 lakh in Indian and US currency, was lost in a cab following the delegate's visit to a mall in Gurugram. Acting on information received at 7:10 pm, police traced the vehicle and recovered the bag from under a seat within 35 minutes, returning it to the delegate shortly before his scheduled flight to South Africa.
