Delhi Police release over 7,000 detainees following protests

Delhi Police have released over 7,000 detainees following recent protests in the capital. However, leaders Abhijeet Dipke and Saurav Das of the CJP remain in custody.

The group has called for a new protest at Jantar Mantar on Sunday, vowing to continue demonstrations until Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar resigns. Following previous unrest, the Delhi Metro has reopened entry and exit gates at all stations.

Political tensions remain high, with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta accusing opposition figures of attempting to turn the city into a ‘battleground,’ while other leaders have criticized the police crackdown and called for dialogue.
