Delhi Police seize 32 kg cannabis, arrest 16 in Operation Kavach‑14.0
Delhi Police’s Western District launched a special anti‑narcotics drive called Operation Kavach‑14.0 on 28 June. The operation resulted in 13 NDPS cases and the arrest of 16 alleged drug traffickers.
Authorities seized a large cache of narcotics, including 32.161 kg of cannabis, 89.77 g of smokable hashish (smack), 9.8 g of cocaine and 6.62 g of MDMA, along with an auto, a scooter and a mobile phone. The biggest haul was uncovered in the Punjabi Bagh police precinct, where four suspects were detained and 23.160 kg of commercial‑grade cannabis recovered. Additional arrests and seizures were made in the Rajouri Garden, Tilak Nagar, Khyala and Vikaspuri areas.
Police said the crackdown, carried out by the Anti‑Narcotics Squad, special staff and local teams based on intelligence inputs, is part of a “zero‑tolerance” policy aimed at dismantling drug‑trafficking networks, and investigations are ongoing.
