Delhi to face hotter, drier week as monsoon break raises temperatures

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a five‑day dry spell for Delhi, with daytime highs climbing to 37‑39 °C and only isolated chances of light rain later in the week. The forecast notes no weather warnings and expects partly cloudy skies on July 12‑13, followed by possible brief showers from July 14 onward.

Private weather service Skymet reports that the low‑pressure system that brought recent heavy rain has weakened and is moving toward the Himalayan foothills, shifting the monsoon trough northward. While humidity will remain high, residents can expect mostly sunny, hot conditions until the monsoon re‑intensifies.
