Delhi traffic advisory issued ahead of protests against Election Commissioner
Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for Tuesday, October 13, 2026, warning of potential traffic congestion and disruptions across several major roads and intersections in the capital. The advisory comes in response to planned protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Key areas expected to experience delays or diversions include the Panchkuian and Mandi House roundabouts, Minto Road, Connaught Place outer circle, Lodhi Road flyover, and the area around RML Hospital. Other affected locations include Bhikaji Cama Place, Moti Bagh flyover, and various crossings near Sansad Marg and Ashoka Road.
Authorities have noted that while not all roads will be closed, temporary restrictions and route diversions may be implemented based on the law and order situation. Motorists are advised to avoid non-essential travel to these areas, follow instructions from traffic personnel, and check current traffic conditions before departing.
