Delhi Traffic Police issues advisory for Jantar Mantar protests

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory due to a planned protest at Jantar Mantar. To manage movement and restrictions, several diversions and traffic controls have been implemented in the vicinity.

Commuters are advised to avoid roads near Jantar Mantar, Parliament Street, Ashok Road, Connaught Place, Patel Chowk, GPO, and Tolstoy Marg. Drivers heading toward Central Delhi are encouraged to plan alternative routes and allow for extra travel time. Authorities have noted that barricading and diversions may be in place, and parking on or near designated routes is prohibited to prevent congestion.

Under orders from competent authorities, Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNS) remains in effect in the specified areas. Additionally, road construction on Swami Narayan Marg will cause nighttime traffic disruptions between Nand Lal Marg and Shastri Nagar red lights from October 1 to October 25.
