Delhi Traffic Police to hold National Lok Adalat on October 25
The Delhi Traffic Police has announced that the next National Lok Adalat will be held on October 25, 2026, to settle pending traffic challans. This session was previously postponed from September 12 due to security protocols and traffic restrictions during the BRICS Summit 2026.
The court will address compoundable traffic violations pending as of June 30, 2026, including offenses such as speeding, jumping red lights, no-parking, driving without a helmet or seatbelt, and lack of necessary documents. It also includes cases transferred to the e-court portal. However, serious offenses such as drunk driving, reckless driving causing accidents, and other major crimes are excluded from this settlement process.
To participate, vehicle owners must download their challan slips starting October 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM via the official website. To manage server load, a daily limit of 50,000 downloads will be enforced until 200,000 slips are available. Drivers must bring their driving license, vehicle registration certificate (RC), and a copy of the challan slip to the designated court premises.
