Delhi Transporters Stage Parliament March Against E20 Fuel Policy

The Delhi Taxi and Tourist Transporters and Tour Operators Association has announced a protest march to Parliament on August 4. The transporters will demand an independent scientific review of the government’s ethanol‑blended petrol (E20) policy, which was rolled out nationwide.

Association president Sanjay Samrat said operators and vehicle owners have reported reduced fuel efficiency, higher maintenance expenses and engine‑performance problems, especially in vehicles manufactured before 2015 that were not designed for a 20 % ethanol blend. He quoted participants: "When people are paying for petrol and the government increases its price, why are we getting blended petrol?" The group calls for a review that includes owners, consumers, manufacturers and technical experts.
