Delhi U-19 coach discusses Aaryavir Sehwag's potential

Delhi U-19 head coach Rajeev Nayyar has highlighted the potential of Aaryavir Sehwag, the son of former Indian opener Virender Sehwag, following a significant performance in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. Aaryavir recently scored 173 runs off 143 balls against Chandigarh, a knock that Nayyar noted showed technical and mental improvements.

Nayyar observed that while Aaryavir possesses father-like batting traits, he must focus on converting starts into centuries to progress through the domestic ranks. The coach emphasized the high level of competition in Indian junior cricket, noting that players like Anvay Dravid are also performing strongly. Nayyar suggested that Aaryavir's path to the senior Indian national team involves steady progression through the U-23s, the Ranji Trophy, and the Duleep Trophy.
