Dwarka Expressway accident kills two workers in Gurugram

Two workers were killed and two others seriously injured after a speeding car struck them on the Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram, Haryana. The accident occurred around 2:30 am near Sri Ram Chowk in the New Palam Vihar area while the laborers were installing iron grills on a divider.

The deceased have been identified as Bijendra and Pappu Singh, both residents of Bulandshahr. The two injured workers, Satish Chand and Ram Kumar, were admitted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The driver of the white car, identified as 20-year-old Delhi University student Vedan Khanna, also sustained injuries in the collision.

Local reports suggest that insufficient lighting and inadequate safety measures, such as a lack of proper barricading or sufficient safety cones, may have contributed to the tragedy. Gurugram police have launched an investigation and are taking necessary legal action against the driver and investigating potential negligence.
