Delian Peevski's private flights with judge Desislava Atanasova trigger resignation demand
MP Anton Kutev presented a GDOBP report that confirms Delian Peevski, leader of the DPS party, travelled on private jets to Dubai together with constitutional judge Desislava Atanasova. Interior Minister Ivan Demerzhiev also disclosed the trips, noting that the flights were not declared in official statements.
Kutev argued that the report proves undisclosed travel and warned that many more flights may exist. He and the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee called for Atanasova’s resignation, citing possible conflicts of interest and the breach of public‑office transparency rules.
Atanasova rejected the allegations, calling the spreadsheet “fake” and denying joint travel with Peevski. The data, derived from the PNR reservation system, is now under prosecutor examination, raising broader questions about the financing of the private flights and potential corruption at the highest judicial level.
