Dell, ASUS, and Lenovo introduce new laptop models
New laptop models and consumer hardware trends are emerging for the upcoming academic and professional cycles. Dell has introduced the Dell 14S, a device designed with a focus on aesthetic variety. Moving away from traditional business colors like silver or black, the 2026/2027 version features four distinct colors: Linen, Dusty Rose, Washed Denim, and Velvet Green. The hardware is built with a three-part metal chassis and is powered by Intel Core Series 3 processors, including the Intel Core 5 320 and Intel Core 7 350. These models support up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage options up to 1 TB.
In the education sector, several models are being highlighted for student use. The ASUS Vivobook 15 features an Intel Core 5 processor, an antimicrobial coating, and a physical webcam privacy shutter. Meanwhile, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 utilizes AMD Ryzen AI processors to optimize tasks through artificial intelligence and features an aluminum chassis and a 16:10 aspect ratio display for improved document reading.
