Dell launches Pro Rugged series of AI-enabled laptops

Dell Technologies has released two new ruggedized laptop models, the Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and the Dell Pro Rugged 14, designed for professionals working in harsh environments. These devices are engineered to withstand extreme weather conditions, featuring MIL-STD-810H certification for operation in temperatures ranging from approximately −29°C to 63°C.

The Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme is a fully rugged 13-inch AI PC with an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance and a drop resistance of about 1.8 meters. It features a high-brightness FHD display capable of 1,400 nits for sunlight visibility and is powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors to handle AI tasks. The Dell Pro Rugged 14 serves as a semi-rugged 14-inch model, weighing approximately 2.13kg with an IP53 rating and drop resistance of about 1 meter. It includes an NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell Generation GPU.

Both models include the Rugged Control Center for customizing hardware shortcuts and GPS settings, alongside various security features such as fingerprint and facial recognition.
