Dell pushes AI‑driven data protection strategy
Dell Technologies reported an 88 % rise in revenue and is emphasizing that AI adoption must be paired with strong data protection. Simon Jelley, the company’s new vice‑president of product management, explained that Dell’s PowerProtect portfolio provides a unified, single‑pane‑of‑glass platform to manage, secure and recover data across multiple environments. The strategy rests on four pillars – open architecture, future‑ready operations, AI‑driven simplicity and multi‑layered security – and includes an integrated AI assistant to guide administrators of any skill level. Jelley noted that as AI‑powered cyberattacks become more sophisticated, “it’s not if it’s going to happen, it’s when,” and highlighted Dell’s ability to use signals from its server, consumer and storage businesses to shorten threat‑detection times.
The company’s focus is to offer an end‑to‑end data management solution that helps enterprises defend smarter and faster as AI reshapes cyber‑resilience.
