Dell Technologies raises 2027 outlook on record AI server demand

Dell Technologies has significantly raised its full-year fiscal 2027 outlook following a record-breaking second quarter driven by intense demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure. The company reported revenue of $46.97 billion, a 58% increase year-over-year, and adjusted earnings per share of $7.04, surpassing analyst expectations.

The primary growth engine was the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), which saw revenue surge 89% to $31.78 billion. Within this segment, AI-optimized server revenue doubled to $16.4 billion. Dell reported a record $60.9 billion in AI server orders during the quarter and ended the period with a massive $95 billion backlog.

Based on these results, Dell increased its full-year revenue guidance to $192 billion, up from $167 billion, and raised its adjusted earnings forecast to $25.50 per share from $17.90. The company also raised its fiscal 2027 AI-optimized server revenue target to $74 billion, up from an earlier projection of $60 billion.
