Dell Technologies launches new Pro Essential and AI-capable business laptops

Dell Technologies has expanded its business computing lineup with the introduction of the Dell Pro Essential 14 and 15 laptops. Designed specifically for small businesses and growing teams, these models prioritize portability, performance, and security. The new hardware is 11% thinner and significantly lighter than previous generations, featuring a 16:10 aspect ratio display with options up to 2.5K resolution.

Technical specifications for the Pro Essential series include configurations with Intel Core Series 3 or AMD Ryzen 200 Series processors, up to 64GB of memory, and 1TB of SSD storage. Productivity enhancements include a larger touchpad and a refreshed keyboard with dedicated keys for dictation, screen snapshots, and microphone muting.

Additionally, the Dell Pro 5 is positioned as a high-performance option for knowledge workers and enterprises. This model emphasizes on-device AI capabilities through an integrated NPU, alongside security features like Dell SafeID with ControlVault 3+. The rollout aligns with industry projections suggesting that AI-capable PCs will represent 55% of the total PC market by 2026.
