Dell Technologies unveils new rugged AI laptops and high-performance workstations

Dell Technologies has expanded its hardware lineup with new AI-capable devices designed for both extreme field environments and high-performance desktop computing.

For field operations, the company introduced the Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and the Dell Pro Rugged 14. The 13-inch Extreme model is a fully rugged device with an IP66 rating, capable of withstanding water jets, dust, and drops from up to 1.8 meters. It features a high-brightness display for sunlight visibility and supports use with gloves or wet hands. The 14-inch model offers a semi-rugged balance with an IP53 rating and drop protection up to one meter.

For desktop environments, Dell announced the Dell Pro Precision with GB300, a Windows-compatible AI workstation. Powered by the NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip, the system is designed to support local AI models with up to one trillion parameters. It utilizes MaxCool technology for enhanced cooling efficiency and allows developers to access the NVIDIA CUDA ecosystem and Linux AI frameworks directly within Windows via the Windows Subsystem for Linux.
