Deloitte: Spain to face 100 million international tourists by 2026

Spain is projected to surpass 100 million international tourist arrivals in 2026, excluding domestic travel. During the V Hosteltur Meeting on Tourism Sustainability in Madrid, Deloitte experts emphasized that the industry must shift its focus from mere visitor volume to managing tourism intensity.

Claudia Magriña, a partner at Deloitte Spain, stated that the sector can no longer measure success solely by the number of visitors. Instead, management must prioritize the impact and value that tourists generate for society, local communities, and the economy.
