Deloitte Tohmatsu Group opens new Sapporo Social Innovation Hub

Deloitte Tohmatsu Group has established a new office in Sapporo, Hokkaido, known as the Sapporo Social Innovation Hub (SSIH). Located in the newly redeveloped Sapporo 4-chome Place, the hub serves as a collaborative center for approximately 120 employees from the group’s audit, consulting, and tax entities.

The facility aims to support regional industrial growth, specifically focusing on the semiconductor sector related to Rapidus and Green Transformation (GX) initiatives. Following Sapporo’s designation as a GX financial and asset management special zone, the hub provides advisory services to promote GX industries and attract domestic and international investment.

Led by Senior Manager Takeshi Oda, the hub functions as a networking site for startups, local governments, and business executives, with membership currently including around 150 organizations.
