Delos Cloud and Secunet expand sovereign cloud services in Germany

Delos Cloud, a subsidiary of SAP, has assumed full operational control of its sovereign Azure and Office 365 platform for the German public sector. As of October 2026, the company has taken over operations from Microsoft, implementing technical controls to restrict the technology provider's access to the platform. All access must now be approved and monitored by Delos, ensuring that data and operations remain under German control within domestic data centers.

In a separate development, Secunet is expanding its sovereign cloud portfolio through two new partnerships. The company has integrated the Fides Sovereign Governance platform to digitize confidential corporate governance processes, such as board portals and document management, for highly regulated sectors. Additionally, Secunet has partnered with ServiceNow to introduce AI-supported automated workflows for government agencies, the military, and critical infrastructure, with these services expected to be available in 2027.
