Delphine Wespiser denounces viral rumors regarding partner's health

French media personality Delphine Wespiser has spoken out against viral false rumors claiming her partner, Roger, has passed away. Roger is currently undergoing treatment for throat cancer caused by the papillomavirus and recently completed his tenth chemotherapy session.

Wespiser described the spread of these rumors, which included fake death notices and funeral images, as a form of violence that has caused her significant psychological distress and recurring nightmares. The misinformation was so widespread that she received condolence messages from acquaintances.

Colleagues from the program ‘Tout beau, tout neuf’, including Shana Loustau and Cyril Hanouna, expressed outrage over the situation. Wespiser’s legal counsel has stated that they will pursue action against those responsible for the posts, emphasizing that anonymity on social media does not provide protection from legal consequences.
